Summary:

With the flame ring teleportation device powered up, Tsuna is given a choice of cards to choose from. Tsuna then draws a lightning battlefield card and then they teleport to the arena. There they meet up with Millefiore and Byakuran where they need to make another choice. Tsuna and Byakuran both spin a roulette to decide who is participating in battle. The Vongola then send out Yamamoto, Gokudera, Irie, Spanner, and Tsuna himself; while Byakuran’s consists of Kikyo, Daisy, Torikabuto, and Torikabuto’s underling Saru. It seems that both sides of mafia families have people who are unable to take part in battle. Just before the battle begins, Byakuran announce that both sides would have a target to defeat on the other side of the team. The Vongola’s target is Daisy while the Millefiore’s target is Shoichi.

Review:

After watching two episodes in a row, with almost all talk and nothing else I’m quite disappointed with this episode. At least all the talking finished so I’m guessing that the next episode would be filled with action and hardly anything else. The concept of the game choice seems fun as it revolved around making multiple choices that ultimately affect the outcome of the game. Similar to how life consists of choices and how a person chooses different things the result would alter. Anyways, I’m really looking forward to the next episode and finally being able to catch up with the current episodes.

Summary:

This episode begins with a brief introduction and preview of the real six funeral wreaths, it seems that all of them seem quite strong but from the amount of people, it is clear that there is one more person missing. Byakuran then joins the five funeral wreaths and then announce that the battle is going to happen today. Tsuna goes over to see Lal-Mirch and wants to tell her how he has improved through his training and how his trained paid-off. Being a cold instructor, Lal-Mirch pretends  tired and doesn’t talk to Tsuna. Tsuna then runs into Bianchi who tells him that Leon had made thread which the others used to make clothes/uniforms for the Vongola guardians. Later everyone assembles to the shrine and Byakuran comes over with a flame ring teleportation device. Byakuran then explains how five million flame volts are need to teleport the group to the battlefield. Suddenly, Hibari and Yamamoto show up and with all the Vongola guardian’s power combined they produce double the amount that needed to power the device.

Review:

Having not watch the anime for some time, I’m quite satisfied with this episode. Although I’m still wondering how this episode seemed to end so fast. Nevertheless, we finally glanced at the enemies and the Vongola guardians (who have improved) thus it makes me wonder how the future battles will be like. In addition to seeing the base being covered up with cloth I’m hoping that the interior of the base would look interesting and amusing. Well, I’m going to watch the next episode so be ready to see a spam of anime reviews!

Summary:

Tsuna comes home along with Kyoko after telling her all about their mafia lives. Tsuna then decides to tell everything he told to Kyoko also to Haru. Haru was cooking until Tsuna goes over and tells her everything about what they have done right from the beginning. Haru seems sad although she lies to Tsuna and pretends that everything is going alright. Tsuna then goes to meet up with everything else and finds out how hard they have trained. In the middle of their conversation, Byakuran hijack their communication and tells them that they have to bring everyone not matter if they are Vongola Guardians or not to the battlefield in Namimori shrine six days later at noon. Gokudera then starts to complain about how Ryohei and Lambo never listen to his advice and always screws up during training. Suddenly, then Squalo comes over and knocks Yamamoto down and takes him to his training. Ryohei is then angry over how Tsuna told Kyoko about their “secret” and punches Tsuna. Later, Spanner and Irie receive information that they would have to join the battlefield six days later; Spanner explains how is expected to join the battlefield in the first place. Tsuna then goes to open his box for training this is where the episode ends. After the episodes it seems that they have changed the ending songs, yet again.

Review:

This episode was quite boring in a way, first of all they actually have like five minutes or so of last episode’s re-cap which really disappointed me.  Then somehow all the other parts seemed quite short and didn’t have much in them at all, well this is just my opinion so sorry if I offended anyone. Nevertheless, the mood of the Vongola guardians was quite well; everyone seems frustrated especially Ryohei. The dramatic change when Kyoko and Haru heard about the Vongola from Tsuna,  was good  where they finally realized all the hardships these people had to go through. One part that I liked is how it seems that the training done by the respective Guardians were cut off. Therefore it would be a great surprise when they finally battle against the Millefiore. In addition, the ending song seemed better than the previous one.

Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn Episode 165 Review

Summary:

After their training, the Vongola guardians meet up with each other. Then, they meet up with Kyoko and Haru who tells them that they are going to boycott and stop doing housework if the boys do not tell them the truth. Seeing this, Tsuna continues to lie his way out of it; this doesn’t work on the two girls and it seems that even some other people join in on their side. With the boycott, the boys try to take care of themselves; they do the laundry and cook food without help from Kyoko and Haru. Unluckily, the boys are unable to get the jobs done correctly and have been eating cup/instant noodles for all their meals. Since they are tired and stressed out by also doing housework, the boys training aren’t going well either. When all the girls are taking a bath, Bianchi explains how men believe that women have to be protected as well as some other concepts about men. Hearing this the two girls then decide to make up next day despite knowing the truth or not. While wandering around the base, Bianchi tells Tsuna that Kyoko ran away due to not knowing the truth. Tsuna runs after her and finds out that Kyoko was just shopping. Kyoko tells Tsuna that she doesn’t need to know the truth but Tsuna tells her anyways. Kyoko learns of everything and just simply nods in silence. Later, Kyoko gives Tsuna inspiration on how to correctly open his box; Tsuna realizes that the feeling Tsuna has is directly mirrored into how the box-weapon will come out as.

Review:

This episode was quite good, I didn’t expect Tsuna telling Kyoko the truth behind his mafia family. Kyoko had always believed that it was some stupid sumo-match or something. This fact quite surprised me and I’m guessing that with knowing the truth, Kyoko and Haru would have a better relationship with Tsuna. This episode also provided some comic relief over my usual days so I’m quite happy to watch this episode. The next episode seems to be about Byakuran hijacking the communications of the Vongola Base, which leads to chaos (I suppose). Hopefully, that would be somehow similar to the manga or at least one of the episodes in the near future would be like that.

Summary:

Dino announces that everyone will be beginning their training; everyone is getting assigned their own routine for training. Tsuna is put alone with himself until he learns how to open his box-weapon correctly. Gokudera is put to teach both Lambo and Ryohei who both have no experience with using box-weapons. Chrome is supposed to be training using Marmon’s program as well as combat training with Bianchi and I-Pin. This then leaves Yamamoto who is on standby, he is supposed to wait until Squalo comes to Japan. It seems that Kyoko and Haru have both disguised themselves into the wall and heard the conversation between the other people, thus they decide to find out more about it. Squalo gets on a ship and seems to be angry that Yamamoto lost to the Phantom Knight in the Melone Base. While training, Tsuna is still scared about how to correctly open his box; Ryohei and Lambo are able to open their box weapon in one try. Chrome is seen hard training with the program, and wants to become a full-fledged illusionist.

Review:

This episode was quite wierd, it seemed to last only around ten minutes or so to me; therefore I was quite disappointed. Well, at least Lambo’s box weapon has been revealed and I’m hoping to see him in his ten-year or twenty year form during the battle with the Millefiore sometime soon. The next episode seems to be a filler again, and I can guess just right about what is going to happen. I’m not really looking forward to watching the next episode, I just want to be up-to-date.

Xam’d Lost Memories Episode 19 Review

Tags: , , , , , , , ,

Summary:

It seems that Midori is still not listening to Haru’s advice and continues to sign a contract with the military. Haru has finally left Setan Island and is going to search for Akiyuki, she gets a Kayak from a junk dealer as well as information in order to get to Akiyuki as fast as possible. At the same time, Kujireka asks for Nakiami’s support; which is turned down by Nakiami. Kujireka then strangles Nakiami and Yango reveals that he is a “incomplete” Xam’d. Haru continues to fly towards Akiyuki’s location and she finds out that her machine is faulty and the engine sometimes malfunctions causing her to nearly get killed. Akiyuki climbs up to a high place and is still unable to remember his name; he can only remember people he knew but couldn’t remember what they called him. While listening to the mysterious black slime, Akiyuki jumps down. Luckily, Haru comes over and yells out Akiyuki’s name, allowing Akiyuki to revert back to his original self. Having recovered to his past self, Akiyuki then departs with the old lady. Nakiami then leaves her hometown along with Rango. The black slime escapes and goes into a huge monster that is kept inside an enclosed place.

Review:

Finally getting back on track with the anime, I’m hoping to see how the final seven episodes will go. I was actually thinking that Nakiami would be the person to find Akiyuki (well…that was before the previous episode) but it looks like having Haru finding Akiyuki adds a little bit more to the drama. With Yango also as a Xam’d, I’m wondering if he will meet up with Akiyuki later on. The mysterious black slime, seems to confuse me cause I have no idea what it came out from, all I can tell is that it’ll be something that Akiyuki should be fighting against near the end of this series.

Xam’d Lost Memories Episode 18 Review

Summary:

Haru escapes from the military and finally realizes that her younger sister Midori has also joined the military. Meanwhile, Nakiami is welcome at her village and realizes how the village is slower getting smaller and smaller. Haru then runs off to find Dr. Takehara (Akiyuki’s father) in order to gain information about the suicide bomber he has been secretly keeping alive. Haru then tells Dr. Takehara about how he is going to find Akiyuki; therefore she gets a way to get to Akiyuki’s location. Still with his mask on, Akiyuki is still unable to remember his name and continues to work for the old lady. Nakiami later also learns that her sister has transformed herself into a Xam’d because Kujireka knows of weak she is, in addition to knowing how their village is soon going to be destroyed. Kujireka then also tells Nakiami that she is going to wage war against the Northern government. Haru tries to convince her little sister, Midori to stop going to the military for help although Midori doesn’t little to Haru’s advice. Haru then rides her bike in order to catch the ship to go to where Akiyuki possibly may be. The episode ends with Akiyuki looking into the distance trying to remember his name.

Review:

Even though, I’ve forgot most of the concepts mentioned in this series I still find this episode to be quite amusing. I really liked how this episode showed how the military isn’t always right (similar to the A-Laws in Gundam 00), although most people may believe how the military is doing the morally “right” things, they may be doing something else in secret. Nakiami’s home town is seeming to become destroyed and I’m interested to see how the war will be in the future episodes. The sunset Akiyuki is looking into really shows that there is hope for the main characters and that the corrupted governments will actually be taken down.

Summary:

After Dino’s arrival to the base, it seems that the group are going to hold a welcome party (even though they just held one for Basil). It seems that Dino is still a clumsy person when his subordinate Romario isn’t around, even still he looks like he has more or less matured. While Kyoko and Haru are still preparing for the feast; Dino opens a box weapon as a present for everyone else. Everyone else continues to work on decorating the party, Dino is reported missing. Then, one by one the Vongola guardians are eaten up; until only Basil and Tsuna are left with the huge turtle box-weapon. At the end, the turtle lays out eggs that are the people who have been eaten up; it seems that they were rejuvenated by the sun and sky flames inside the turtle’s belly. Everyone are happy for the welcome ceremony and Reborn announces that the box-weapon training would commence tomorrow.

Review:

Again, this episode seems to be really boring, filler after filler. Anyways, I guess that I shouldn’t be complaining about this since the next episode would be something that is interesting to watch. One thing that I disliked about this episode is how Dino was unable to change; I’d prefer if he became more mature and stronger; it seems like they like to use the same “laugh point” again and again (wonder when they would come up with something new). I’m looking forward to the next episode and how the Vongola guardians would learn how to use their respective box-weapons.

Summary:

At first, we see Tsuna having Futa tending his wounds as Tsuna has fallen to many times trying to learn how to ride an air bike.Gokudera and Yamamoto come in and tell Tsuna that Reborn has called everyone to the conference room for a meeting. There, Reborn tells everyone that they more or less can already ride the air-bikes (Chrome and Hibari didn’t practice though…) Then, Reborn says that starting tomorrow they would be practicing on how to master their box-weapons, Reborn also says that they shouldn’t open the box weapons today. Everyone is curious to what is inside Tsuna’s box because Tsuna hasn’t ever got or used one before. Back in his room, Tsuna is thinking about the future battles, then he notices that the box weapon he has is shaking. Tsuna then thinks that his box weapon isn’t feeling well inside the box therefore he decides to open it. As soon as he opens it, there is a big explosion and everyone rushes to his room. After the explosion, Tsuna is seen fighting a fire dragon monster, although he is unable to win against it. Then Basil and Yamamoto who have rain-attribute boxes help Tsuna and cool down the box weapon, making it return to its box. At the end of the episode, Dino comes in riding on his box weapon to greets everyone.

Review:

This episode was quite weird, I didn’t like how the producers decided to waste time but putting parts from previous episodes. I’m guessing that they just wanted to stall time as they think that they may eventually catch up with the manga. Anyways, other than that I quite liked the episode; another thing I found weird is how Reborn says that everyone knows how to ride an air bike when Hibari and Chrome haven’t tried riding it at all. In addition, the part where Kyoko and Haru are tricked into evacuating really is weird; I wonder how many times have they got tricked by the Vongola. Anyways with Dino joining the group, I’m looking forward to how the plot progress (more fillers I guess…)

Summary:

With the airbike out, everyone gives it a try in order to see if they can ride it or not. Giannini gives a short demonstration of how to ride the bike and it seems at first that only Gokudera is able to ride this thing. Giannini explains that this bike is powered on death-peneration flames and the material is built using the same material as the ones used to build marmon rings. Since Tsuna never was able to ride a bicycle until fourth grade, he wonders if he can just fly around using his gloves. Reborn then tells him that flying around using that method will only make it so that people would easily find him, making that a bad way for playing the game of choice. Seeing that the airbike is a good way of transportation, Giannini and Spanner decide to stay up all night in order to complete bunch of airbikes for everyone to have one of their own. That night it seems that Gokudera and Yamamoto were training for the airbike and the next day it seems that everyone (including Basil) is able to ride the bike except for Tsuna. While training, Tsuna decides to go out to fetch a glass of water. Tsuna listens to how Kyoko and Haru was able to learn cooking slowly step by step, Tsuna is determined to learn how to ride the airbike. Surprisingly, Tsuna is able to ride his airbike although he still has ways to go.

Review:

This episode was quite in the middle, maybe because I predicted most of the story line in this episode. I really dislike how Tsuna always believe that he is no good, but I cannot blame him for thinking so because he grew up having the nickname “dame-Tsuna” (no good Tsuna). This episode did provide quite a bit of comic relief from the all the things that has been going on, but I’m guessing that these filler/comic-relief episodes have really been a bit too long. Well nevertheless, the next episode seems to be about the box weapons and I’m hoping to see the box-weapons to be starring in the episodes instead of just the opening part of the series.

Summary:

This episode starts off with the battle between Setsuna and Louise. Louise traps Setsuna by holding onto him and the battle ends when a kamikaze hits them. Surprisingly, they survive and Louise is taken away by Saji, Setsuna then fights the other two Innovators. Where Veda is, Tieria is shot down byRibbons. After being taken away, Louise wakes up and tries to strangle Saji. Louise then suffers a mental breakdown when she sees that Saji has still kept the ring. Meanwhile, it seems that Lasse and GN Archer have both run out of particle beams and therefore they cannot fight, therefore they are hit easily by the kamikazes. As the battle goes on with Setsuna and the Innovators, Setsuna activates his trans-am while realizes the dire situation that all of his friends and comrades are in.  Then Setsuna somehow activiates trans-am burst turning him into a true Innovator, and spreads his GN particles all over the battlefield. With the particles is seems that most people have stop fighting and come to peace; Billy and Sumeragi start working together as well as Louise and Saji. By blasting the enemies away with his GN particles, Setsuna charges in to find Veda. When he gets to Veda he finds that Tieria has already merged with Veda to become one; Celestial Being has taken control over Veda. With this, Tieria shuts down all of the kamikaze and the Innovator’s mobile suits with his trial field that is emitted from his Seraphim Gundam. Then, Lockon is able to defeat Ali-Al Saachez easily and avenges his family members. Tieria then tells Setsuna about the true meaning behind Aeolia Schenberg’s plan. As Setsuna tries to return to Ptloemaios II, he finds the Seraphim is shot down by Ribbons; Setsuna then prepares for the final battle with Ribbons.

Review:

This episode was amazing, I didn’t expect such things to happen. I did guess that Setsuna will become a true Innovator but I didn’t realize that apparently nobody has died yet. There is only one thing that bothers me, where has Graham Aker (Mr. Bushido) gone to, I’m guessing that he might appear out of nowhere to help Setsuna during his final battle with Ribbons. Well although I expected some characters to die, I’m guessing that a happy ending will also be something good to look forward to in the next and final episode. Anyways, I guess that I won’t be watching the final episode soon, but be prepared to read even more blocks of text next time!
