Summary:

After Asch’s death, Luke and party move up to meet Van who seems to be waiting for them. Van looks different with two really cool arms and long hair. Even at the last moment, Van tries persuading Luke to join his side and abolish the score, although Luke refuses and say that the score is only one of the multiple futures. Tear then goes on to say how Van should just stop everything, but Van insists on destroying the score and starts the fight with the party. Wait there’s more…much more…

Summary:

Luke and group rush inside in order to defeat Van, and later they find that Asch have gone in alone to face Van. Luke finds Asch first, and both of them fall into a trap, when the rest of the group comes they meet up with Legretta and Sync. Tear tries to convince Legretta to stop what she is doing, but she refuses thus Tear loses her respect for her and fights Legretta with Jade. Meanwhile, Anise and Guy confronts Sync where Anise keeps trying to get Sync to stop, as he is also a replica of Fon Master Ion. Not long, Tear and group manage to defeat both Sync and Legretta and decide to look for Luke. Legretta tells that love is her reason for helping Van, and Sync says that he is helping Van because of his emptiness. Luke and Asch wake up at a new place and they both start fighting eachother trying see who is more fit for defeating Van. When Luke says “I am myself” Asch is shocked by the word and left an opening for Luke to defeat him. Asch is defeated and gives his sword to Luke, while telling Luke to finish his job as Asch will hold down the incoming enemies. Luke finds the others when they are strolling around the half-completed replica of the original city. Guy also looks as his old manor and sees the chimney where his sister put him into, and says that the replica isn’t same as the original. Asch fighting as Luke Fon Fabre, gets stabbed by three oracle knights and dies. As Spinoza has told Asch before, Asch’s fonon’s are transferred into the remaining original which is Luke. Luke receives news of Asch’s death and obtains his fonons into his body. Natalia is shocked but when Luke says that Asch will always be a part of himself, Natalia stops crying and the group continues forward.

Review:

This episode was great, I loved the battle scenes. The reason for the Six God Generals for helping Van differed greatly but they all seem to have one thing in common, is what that they all said that Van saved them. With one episode left in the series, I’m guessing that Luke wouldn’t die anymore and Van will be defeated by the group (six versus one…maybe seven [plus Asch]). Anyways, this series has been great so far therefore I’m guessing so will the last episode. Everything will turn out good and no more deaths of the protagonists will occur, well I’m looking forward to the epilogue, and how the group defeats Van.

Summary:

After taking down planet storm that surrounds Eldrant, both countries are trying to take it down although it seems that Eldrant has cannons protecting it. While walking around town, Luke and group meet up with Asch where both of them argue over their existence, as one is the original and the other a replica. Asch gets angry was Luke keep saying how he is inferior to Asch. After meeting with Malkuth’s king, Jade advises that when both countries attack Eldrant, they will fly onto it and assault it. When the group has free time, Tear is seen remembering her childhood with her brother, and Natalia and Guy are talking about Asch and Luke. Anise and Jade talk about what they are going to do in the future, and Tear tells Luke that she and Mieu knows about his secret. The new replica of Ion is also taken under the care of Anise’s parents and Anise seems to treat him better as she doesn’t want to lose him again. On the day before the operation, Luke tells Tear how important she is to him, and Tear says that she would be watching over him forever. On the day of the operation, Eldrant crashes onto the land, when Noelle’s brother had his ship crash into it. When a big gap is made, Noelle tries landing her ship into Eldrant where Van is seen standing on the top of Eldrant.

Review:

This episode was quite good, I’m hoping that the next two episodes will feature tons of action and finally put an end to this story. I really liked the conflicts that occurred in this episode, where the original and the replica both struggle to find out the truth in their existence. Nevertheless, I liked the great change in the characters of this series, they were completely different at the start, and it is obvious that most of them have grown stronger. I’m really looking forward to how this series sums up in the final two episodes.

Summary:

Nearly coming to an end of the series, Largo comes to Kimlasca and acts as an messenger to tell both countries to listen to the order of Loreliel. The king of Kimlasca declines and says that it is unnecessary to obey the score. Then Natalia is told the truth about her real father, and it seems that she is shocked when she finds out the Largo is her “real” father. Jade talks to Spinoza who tells them a way to stop planet storm, Spinoza says that by going to the absorption gate and using the jewel to absorb the seventh fonons, while also have to going to the radiation gate at the same time and using fonic hymns planet storm will stop. There the group split up into Tear, Jade, Anise who goes to the radiation gate, and Luke, Guy, Natalia who go to the absorption gate. Tear, Jade, and Anise arrive at the radiation gate where they encounter Mohs, who has revived Van and obtained the seventh fonstone along with another replica of Fon Master Ion. Van blasts the group away, and says that he will show no mercy that next time the meet. Tear and group then head on to find Mohs who is forcing the Ion replica to read the score. Tear and group fight him and Tear defeats him with Holy Cross. Meanwhile, Luke and group at are the absorption gate where they meet up with Largo. They fight and Natalia finishes Largo off with an arrow. Largo also mentions a bit about his past and how he met Van, he also stated how they must fight since they have different ideals. Luke and Tear work together and open the gate to Eldrant.

Review:

This episode was quite entertaining, although I didn’t expect Largo and Mohs to die that quickly. I always thought that Mohs was like the “final” boss but it seems that I was wrong, and I’m guessing that Van would be the final person to defeat. With three six god generals gone (Arietta, Largo, and Dist) and only two left (Asch doesn’t count as one anymore). I have always wondered where has Sync and Legretta went, I haven’t seen then from a long time already. Anyways, I’m guessing that these two character will show up again in the future episodes and that the plot would be getting better and better.

Summary:

When Luke and group finally get to the top of the tower in order to stop Asch from sacrificing himself. Dist comes over and interrupts them, although Jade easily finishes him off with a magic attack named Mystic Cage. Later Asch and the replicas make an agreement as to if they sacrifice everyone at the tower, then he would find a place for the remaining ones to live peacefully. Asch then leaves them to make a decision, since the replicas realized that Mohs has already abandoned them. At Kimlasca, where Natalia tells her father that they should stop Asch. Jade then suggests something else, which is Luke could do it instead. All of Luke’s friends then try to talk Luke out of his decision, and Tear seems to respect his decision because he respected her decision when she decided to open up the seals. Tear also says that even though the miasma would clear up after his sacrifice, she will still hate him even when everyone else looks up to him as a hero. The next day, Luke finally decides to do it and tells the kings of the two countries. Luke and group goes back to the tower, and the replicas have agreed to sacrificed themselves to Luke, as long as the others have places to live. Just as soon as Luke begins, Asch comes over and tries stopping him, Luke grabs the Key of Lorelei and begins. Luke starts disappearing, but since he had the jewel the seventh fonons started to disperse, and therefore Asch came over and helped him on the process. Then the whole world loses its miasma and Luke seems to be alive. Leaving the jewel with Luke, Asch disappears again to find Van. Luke goes to have a medical checkup and finds out that he will eventually die. After coming out to meet everyone Luke lies saying that he is ok, and when everyone leaves Jade tells Luke that he has seen through his lie. Luke then tells the truth and both of them didn’t notice that Mieu and Tear was eavesdropping.

Review:

This episode was quite good, although I didn’t expect the main character to die out. I think that this is one of the first series I have seen to “lead” character going on a path to death. Although things may still change, I doubt that Luke will still be alive. I’m quite fine with having one of the “side” characters losing their life, but the “lead” character is a whole different story. With four episodes left I’m realy wondering to how the plot will develop from this episode on.

Summary:

All of the six god generals continue to gather at the protected flying piece of land, then Largo realizes that he has lost his necklace of Natalia. Luke and group go back to Kimlasca and talk with the king. After Luke send all the women away, he goes to talk with his uncle (the king) and asks for the confirmation of the necklace he found. Asch and Luke have their own “private” talk and Asch later comes to where Luke is. Asch then meets up with his long lost parents, who go up to hug him. When Asch later leave the palace (his house), he later seems to be near his death. Luke and group then go out to find the researcher where Jade later explains the way to eliminate all the miasma around the world. Unluckily, Asch was also listening and therefore he decided to kill ten thousand of seventh fonists in order to destroy the miasma. Luke suspects Asch’s eavesdropping and he decides to go find him. Surprisingly, he finds Asch at this tower, where Asch is trying to get to the top.

Review:

This episode wasn’t as good as I thought. I don’t really like bunch of serious talking, and nothing much really happened. The next episode would be filled with a bunch of action I guess, since may be Asch and Luke would fight eachother again. With only five episodes left, I’m hoping for a major change in the plot and the reappearance of Van, since it’s suggested that he is still alive. I’m really looking forward to the next episode, and I really wonder what would Asch and Luke do.

Summary:

Anise is still feeling down after Ion’s death, but she suddenly meets up with Arietta who challanges Anise to a dual, which she accepts. Luke and group go to this mountain where Luke meets up with Asch, who blames Luke for unable to retrieve the jewel. Asch then explains that with the missing jewel and the sword he has, the problems would be solved. Later, the group go to this island where they find out where Mohs makes replicas, then when Jade destroys the machine Mohs appears. Mohs wants to gain power, and therefore Dist merged some seventh fonon energy inside him, and later Mohs becomes an ugly demon-like monster. Mohs and Dist escape leaving Luke and group confused. Just before they leave, Mohs seems to have created a replica of this island and sends it to the sky. He then broadcasts his voice to both empires, saying how they neglected the score. When Luke and group think of a way to break through the barrier of Mohs’ floating island, one of Arietta’s ligers bring a letter to Anise telling her where to go meet up with Arietta. Being concered about Arietta, Luke and group also decide to go with her. When they get there, Arietta fights with Anise while Luke and the rest fight with the other animals. Largo is also there becoming an observer, and eventually Arietta loses to Anise. Arietta then thinks back to how she first met Ion and how she was taught to write and speak as she grew up with ligers. At the end, Largo carries Arietta’s dead body and states that the next time they meet all of them will be dead, in addition to if Arietta knew that the original Ion was dead, she would have suicided.

Review:

This episode was quite good, although I didn’t quite expect that the “final” boss would appear so early (unless Mohs isn’t the final one). Anyways, I quite disliked the fact that Arietta died she actually seemed like a good person although she followed the wrong path. I’m guessing that maybe there will be more and more people dying in the future episodes. One random thing that has bothered me, is that how come Mohs ”transformed” so early? With six episodes left, I always thought that his transformation would only happened on the last or the second to last episode.

Summary:

Luke and Tear travel to Daath and meets up with Anise, where they ask if she could arrange a meeting for them and Fon Master Ion. Surprisingly, Jade and Guy are also there and all of them have things to report to Ion. Luke and Tear report that Planet Storm’s activity has been increasing while Jade and Guy report how Dist broke out of prison and saved Mohs that was transporting him. In addition Jade tells how the Malkuth troops that were in training were attacked by an unidentified army who seemed to have a “dead” look in their eyes. The group then decides to go speak with King Inogbert, although Anise suddenly decides to leave them which makes Jade suspicious. When the group gets outside they meet up with Natalia who came to complain about how Malkuth’s forces attacked Kimlasca. The group explains everything to Natalia, and Tear suddenly faints because of the miasma in her body. Not long, Anise comes into the run and drags Ion out saying that there is miasma everywhere and when the group decides to pursue them, they are nowhere to be found. Arietta later explains that Anise took Ion to the Sephiroth to read the Seventh Fonstone. The group finds Anise and Mohs together and learns that Anise has been working for him since the beginning as well as her parents are taken as hostage. Mohs escapes through a passageway and only Arietta manages to get inside, the group then encounters a group of replicas who resemble those who used to be close to them. Luke later finds out that when Anise threw away her doll, there was a letter telling them where to go and when they get to Mount Zaleho they find Ion reading the score. The group attacks Mohs’ troops and defeats them. Anise’s parents are saved and Mohs runs away. Meanwhile, Ion is done reading the score which has depleted all of his energy, making him lose his life. Ion also manages to take the miasma out of Tear’s body and later dies. Ion’s last words told Anise that he cherished her the most. At Daath, Anise explains to Luke how Mohs saved her parents when they were in great debt therefore she had no choice but to obey him.

Review:

I haven’t watched this series in a long time, and this episode was quite refreshing. Since my memory has faded away, it took me quite a while to remember the plot as well as the character’s names. Anyways, this episode seemed to indicate that the peaceful lives are over and a new danger has occurred. This seems to be quite weird, as most rpgs (since this anime was based on it) usually only have one major arc (maybe I played to less rpgs). At first the unidentified army seemed to me like some zombies resurrected from the dead but I was surprised to find out that they were actually replicas. I’m looking forward to the last seven episodes of this series, and I’m hoping that none of the other major characters will pass away like Ion.

Summary:

Due to a snowstorm, Luke and group decide to rest and stay for the night. Nothing much happens that night, and the next day Luke wakes up hearing a voice. Luke goes out and sees Asch, who tells Luke that Luke should kill Van and not just stop him. Luke and Group arrive at the Absorption Gate, when an earthquake occurs which separates Luke and Tear from the group. Luke and Tear meet up with Van where they fight with him. When Luke was nearly dead, the rest of the group arrives to save him, then Van jumps off (copying Sync?). Luke then uses his hyper-resonance with the help of Asch and reverses the flow of the particles. The world is saved, and everyone returns to their respective homes while nothing noticeable happens for a month, other than having the outer lands lowered gently. During the one month or so, Luke sleeps all day in his house along with Mieu. One day, Luke’s mother tells him that there is someone wanting to meet with him. Noelle meets up with Luke and takes him to Yulia city where Luke meets up with Tear. Tear later tells Luke that after the investigation group went to the Absorption Gate, Van’s sword was missing thus it signifying that something is still going on.

Review:

Nothing much happens in this episode, other than having the world supposedly saved and Van supposedly dying (not sure about his death). I think that this one month of nothing was useless, as I’m pretty sure that the group will meet up with each-other again. This episode surprised me since it looks like there is still another problem unsolved. I’m really interested in finding out what this problem is and I can’t wait to watch the remaining episodes of this great series.

Summary:

The group are still at the hospital where they meet Spinoza again who seems to be regretful for what he has done. He later decides to help the group, and it was sort of like how Luke wanted to change after the fall of a whole country. Luke and group fly around to find passage rings and activate them one by one, as Tear is able to do so since she’s a descendant of Yulia. When they only have one passage ring left they decided to camp out in the wilds, where Tear later meets up with Van. Van tries convinces Tear to join his side, although Asch comes by and attacks Van, who is later joined by Luke’s group. Seeing this, Tear is more determined to fight against Van, while Van retreats with Asch chasing after him. The group later leave and go to the last passage ring where they later meet up with the Six God Generals and are attacked by them. Jade causes an avalanche making all of the enemies run away, while Tear protects excluding Luke. They activate the passage ring and found out that it was working in reverse, therefore the Outer Lands are going to collapse once again.

Review:

From this episode, I don’t really have much to say about it. Quite normal, the plot seems to be on a steady-pace. One interesting part in this episode was how Spinoza was similar to how Luke was after Luke destroyed the country. This episode had a slight bit of comedy in, when Jade beat the crap out of Dist when they saw each-other, I mean who likes people like Dist. Anyways for the future episodes, I really wonder what will happen to Tear as they slowly lower the Outer Lands, I really hope that she is alive at the end of the series.

Summary:

After finally getting the device created, the group head off to Tanatraros in order to sacrifice it for saving the world. The elderly researchers explain to Jade on how to use the device, when suddenly the Order of  Lorelei come to attack Luke along with Legretta. The elderly researchers helped Luke and group by sacrificing their old, near-death lives. Van arrives later and slashes the elderly when they tried to block the Order of Lorelei from catching up to Luke and group. Luke was hesitant when the elderly sacrificed their lives for him and didn’t want them to die. While on the ship, it seems that everyone is depressed including Tear, as it was her older brother who killed civilians. While in the core, Luke and group are attacked by Sync, who they later realize that he is a replica of Ion along with Fon Master Ion, who was the seventh replica of Ion. Sync later decides to suicide and jumps off the ship while saying that he is useless now. While leaving the ship, and boarding the jet Tear is taken over by Lorelei and tells everyone that they should free her. Tear is taken to a hospital where the doctor explains that she wouldn’t be able to survive as the Outer Lands gets closer and closer to the bottom.

Review:

This episode was good. It was something worth watching, and packed many things inside. I was astonished when the people from Order of Lorelei decided to kill innocent people, it was really shocking made me feel really sad. In this episode it had quite many shocking event, like how Ion was just a replica in addition to Sync. Not only that, Tear’s life is in danger just from having the Outer Lands lowered, I personally don’t want Tear to die, she’s just such a good person. Anyways, with the remaining ten episodes or so left I’m really looking forward to the surprises to be discovered in the episode as well as how Luke’s problems will be solved one by one (or maybe they won’t be solved).

Summary:

Luke and group arrive in this town where they manage to get some researchers who will both agree to help out saving the world. They intend to do this by using various steps. After coming out, the group rests at an inn, while late at night Natalia sneaks out with Luke following behind her. Natalia meets up with the Asch, where they talk about their childhoods. Luke seeing this starts wondering what will happen if he wasn’t born, and Tear comes out saying that Luke’s birth was a good thing as it messed up the score. Luke later thinks that it’ll be a good idea to have both empires agree with what they are doing, so therefore they head out to find Natalia’s father. With Ion’s help they easily go inside the castle, where Natalia convinces her father to since a peace treaty with the Malkuth Empire. Not long, Jade also convinces the Malkuth Empire to agree. They hold the meeting of both empires at Tear’s homeland, where they sign a peace treaty in addition to entrusting the lowering of the outer lands to Luke and group. Guy also finds out that the destruction of his home land was actually caused by Van. The episode ends with the group taking the jet back to the outer lands.

Review:

This episode was quite good, it showed the drastic change of Luke’s personality. Luke has indeed become a much better person than before, he can even think of things before doing them. From this episode, it showed how Asch and Natalia are a couple as well as, Tear and Luke (just my guesses again XD). From the next episode preview it looks like the Six God Generals will be interuppting Luke’s group yet again, although I can tell that they will retreat, just like they always do.

Summary:

After escaping Natalia seems to feel extremely depressed and starts crying, who is later comforted by Guy who arrives from the plane. The group to research the Dawn Age’s fonic artes, and go to this library/research lab. After finding a way to save everyone, Guy finds a group of researchers that he is certain that they will help. When leaving, Guy meets up with Van who tries convincing Guy to join his side, although Guy disagrees and says that things have changed to much already. While walking around, Anise meets her mom, and not long they are attacked by Arietta although when Anise’s mom takes an attack Arietta decides to retreat. Seeing Anise’s mom protecting someone else, Guy starts to remember some of his past. The group later try to find a Sephiroth and read the closed score, which seems to be out of place and they guessed that it was because of Luke’s birth. Upon going to the Sephiroth, it looks like Guy has taken a small step forward to changing, and saved Anise from falling down from a cliff. When the group get there, the Sephiroth seems to be shut down while suddenly Tear suddenly collapses which somehow triggers the Sephiroth.

Review:

This episode was good, especially the really last part which is a cliff-hanger. I really wonder what has happened to Tear. Many surprises are being shown recently, and looks like this episode isn’t an exception. Nobody will have guessed the Guy had a relationship with Van just like how Luke has a relationship with Guy. I’m really looking forward to the surprises that will be shown in future episodes.

Summary:

The Tanataros are heading towards the Malkuth Empire’s capital, they decide to dock and walk inside the capital. Only Jade was permitted to go inside, and therefore the rest stay outside the gate waiting. Suddenly, Luke gets attacked by Largo, and Guy (who was controlled by Sync). When an earthquake happens, Natalia was able to shoot Sync and therefore stopped him from controlling Guy. Furthermore, reinforcements came so therefore the Six God Generals (actually only two of them…) decided to retreat. Later we learn a bit about Guy’s past and that his real intention of going inside the Fabre Manor was to get revenge on his people, as Fon Fabre ordered the attack of his city. Luke is angry at himself, although Guy seems to believe in Luke. Luke and Group later meet up with the Emperor of Malkuth where the Emperor decides to send them to save St. Binah. The group get there and start evacuating the citizens until suddenly an earthquake happens again and the land is split into two leaving the Mayor of St. Binah falling downwards. At the really end, it looks like a plane/jet is flying over to sky (reinforcements?).

Review:

Again, this episode was showing parts of the past again. I never knew that Guy was a noble, it was really unexpected. The episode was good as it left the mysterious plane over the sky, which makes the audience wonder who exactly is inside it. I can’t believe my guess was right, the stupid Six God Generals retreated yet again. Anyways, I’m looking forward to how the past of the other characters will be like as I’m really desperate to know how these characters became who they currently are.

Summary:

The ship, Tanataros seems to have part of its engine broken so therefore Luke and group decide to get off at a nearby port in order to fix it. The place they decided to dock at was Jade’s hometown, where Jade later meets his sister. Before parting with Jade’s sister, Luke was told to find her again although at a later time. The group go inside an inn where Jade tells a little bit about his childhood past with the group. Sometime late at night, Luke sneaks out to find Jade’s sister while she tells Luke about how Jade was a prodigy even at a young age. In the past, Jade was exceptionally good at Fonic Artes, he even once created a replica of a doll for his sister. Jade had a good teacher, who tried changing his personality, and when the teacher died Jade reverted back to his old self. Upon going back to the inn, Luke meets Jade who seems to know that Luke has talked to his sister. Jade tells about how he admired his teacher as she was able to use the Seventh Fonon, while Jade had trouble doing so. One day, Jade decided to use the Seventh Fonon and therefore blew up a whole house which lead to the death of his teacher. He tried to create a replica of her, although it failed. Since then, Jade had been trying to created replicas and has been taking dead bodies from the battlefields which later made people gave Jade the nickname of Necromancer. In the end, the group all leave happily and continue on with their journey.

Review:

This seems to be the second episode to be talking about the past. I’m pretty sure that there will be other episodes showing the past of the character of this series. In fact, there wasn’t much to say about this episode it just solved those people pondering about what Jade was like in the past. I personally, don’t really care about Jade’s past although it was still quite interesting to see how it shaped his character in the present. According to the next episode preview, it looks like Luke and group will be meeting up with Van’s group again, I’m really looking forward to see what will happen although I’m guessing Van’s group will retreat again (just my guess).
